Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires, Argentina is your destination for passion. Passion for sports, food, family, their countries culture and history. Often called the “Paris of the South” with its rich European history, sweeping architecture and wide boulevards. While other cities around the world brag about having the perfect balance between the beautifully organised modern world and the wildness of nature – none of them hold a flame to this cosmopolitan city.

Aside from the sprawling nature and ancient cityscapes Buenos Aires also has an undying love for the theatre. With over three hundred theatres within the city alone ranging from popular musicals to underground productions, you are sure to find something that’ll spark your curiosity.

After an afternoon at the Theatre, you can make your way over to one of the countless restaurants and order yourself some local staples:

  • Choripán: A grilled bold flavoured chorizo, laid on top of bread with chimichurri sauce.  You can either enjoy this item as a snack or an appetiser. It’s an Argentinian staple!
  • Empanadas: While empanadas can be found all over South America the ones in Argentinian are the best. While Empanadas come from Spanish (Spain) culture, they left an impression on Argentinians. Empanadas look like a small hand sized pie, filled with meat and veggies.
  • Matambre Arrollado: If you are a red meat lover, this dish was created specifically for you. Matambre Arrollado, is an Argentinian stuffed Flank Steak. Normally, this meal consists of egg, herbs and vegetables.
  • Milanesa: A humble traditional beef-based dish from the soul of Buenos Aires. Milanesa is a slice of prime beef that has been fried in hot oil.

Make sure that you leave room for wine from the Mendoza province. While this wine isn’t grown in the Buenos Aires Providence, the growing conditions are phenomenal. So much so that this providence grows and crafts three quarters of the wine to all of Argentina. Think about it – a unique flavour profile of Argentina food, paired with wine grown from Argentina. It’s a match made in paradise.

After a moment of tasting paradise, it is time to explore it! While there are numerous places for you to visit in this grand city, here are a few that I highly recommend:

  • La Boca: Not only is this area considered one of the most colourful neighbourhoods in the world. When you visit you will find that this area is overflowing with tango music and laughter.
  • Casa Rosada: A pink palace that is both a museum and the presidential palace. The museum here is an amazing place to check out for a quick in person download of land you are visiting.

La Bombea: A must visit for every sports fan visiting this city.
