The place where nature meets history. Muğla is a small coastal city nestled into the side of a small mountain side. While this city receives a majority of its income via farming and tourism there is so much more to it than tourism.

 

  • Bodrum’s Castle: Located on a small rocky peninsula between Anatolia and Bodrum is one of Muğla’s most important landmarks. The castle preserves its original Gothic architecture, with touches of Spanish, Italian, German, English and French on the towers. and towers over the area in all its mediaeval splendour.
  • Babadağ: If you are looking for an overview of this glorious city, a hike to Babadağ is just what you need. This mountain is known for its rich limestone composition and the lush flora and fauna.

  • Piyaz Salad: Also known as the Turkish white bean salad that is fresh, tangy and delicious. One of Muğla’s most famous dishes.
  • Ezogelin Corba: A traditional Turkey dish that has a legend behind it. Ezogelin Corba is a zesty soup with a red lentil and tomato base (flavourings can either be sweet or hot). The best companion to this dish is some fresh flat bread.
  • Yaprak Dolma: Also known as Yaprak Sarma; this is because Dolma means stuffed, and Sarma means wrapped which is exactly what this dish is. Rice is cooked with tomatoes, a handful of fresh parsley, onion, garlic, tomato paste, olive oil, black pepper, salt and water. A spoonful of this mixture is then placed on a grape vine leaf, folded in and carefully rolled by hand into neat little cylinders.
  • Inegol Kofte: A meal that is truly unique to Buenos Aires. While Kofte can be found all around the great country of Argentina – each city puts its own twist on it, and every restaurant that is in these cities strives to make it unique. Inegol Kofte is made of ground beef or lamb, breadcrumbs, seasoned with dried onions and lemon juice.
  • Turkish breakfast: Imagine a brunch spread, condensed into the key elements that make it the perfect brunch spread. This – is a Turkish breakfast.

If you are a European Citizen, you are eligible to enter Turkey and receive a visa upon arrival. All other individuals must apply for a visa before arrival to be able to enter this vast country.
