  • Explore Old Town surroundings

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Old Town is a well-preserved town with replicas of 14-18 century buildings rebuilt after the town was bombed during World War II. The streets are lined up with cafes, restaurants, shops, and art galleries. You will love the vibe at the Old Town and will get a feel of what life was like back in the day in Warsaw. Make sure to arrive early to visit the town as it could get crowded very easily.

 

  • Stroll through the Royal Route

Do not miss to stroll along the Royal Route after a visit to the Old Town when in Warsaw. It will take approximately 30 minutes for you to walk the entire route. Go along Nowy Swiat, then to Krakowskie Przedmiescie at Copernicus Square where you will find the Copernicus statue. Along the way, make stops at Chopin benches, Church of the Holy Cross, and Blikle, where you can enjoy sweet delights.

 

  • Visit the Royal Castle

A visit to the Royal Castle is totally worth it. This castle once the residence of the royals now features spectacular paintings, coins, and rugs. The tour can be coupled with a visit to the apartments used by the Polish royals too.

 

  • Relax at Lazienki Park

You will find this Baroque-style park very relaxing. You can explore its surroundings including the two orangeries, palaces, promenades, and monuments. You will not realize time passing at this enormous park in Warsaw.

 

  • Browse through artifacts at Warsaw Uprising Museum

If you are a lover of history you should definitely visit this museum. You will learn all about the 1944 uprising, where more than 1000 exhibits are on display, including some interactive exhibits. Do not forget to see the Freedom Park, which is a memorial for those who died during the uprising.
